One of Beyond Subsistence’s newest initiatives is our National Scholarship Program. The brightest future for many of the world’s poorest countries is through education of their own people. This program provides education and training opportunities to national people in third world countries in the areas of forestry and agriculture. Scholarships are awarded to young adults who have demonstrated an enthusiasm to learn and have a desire to work in development. Scholarships are awarded for tertiary education, short courses, conferences or short-term placements. Scholarships are recommended by partnering aid organisations and approved on application to the Beyond Subsistence board.
